ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Head of Grocery for Minor Figures, you’ll be getting deep into the detail for our retail channel. Managing all of the key retailers in the UK, you’ll become the go to for all of our customers, developing relationships through working with the buyers and commercial teams, driving volume and importantly reaching our key consumers through product and brand awareness.
Our Retail sales makes up over a third of the total sales for our EMEA region, so this is a vital role. Leading a team of 1 which will expand as distribution increases, you will work together to grow our existing customers, but also target new business in the retail, wholesale and the untapped convenience channel.
Ultimately, you’ll be the heart of building up the Retail channel and working with all our key customers to accelerate the growth and brand love of Minor Figures through the supermarket shelves.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
Here’s an overview of what you’ll be doing
- Working across all the retail customers in the UK.
- Leading JBP’s, driving volume in retail customers and influencing key stakeholders, internally and externally.
- Building and communicating a compelling category strategy
- Developing people and providing ongoing support to those in your team (currently 1 direct report but will be expanding quickly)
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Results driven with strong attention to detail
- Self – starter who wants to learn and progress in FMCG industry
- Strong communicator and great at working cross functionally (finance, operations, supply chain, marketing)
ABOUT YOUR TEAM
As Head of Grocery, you’ll lead and guide a Wholesale National Account Manager. Together, you’ll bring these channels to life, and inspire the wider business to feel proud every time they walk into a store and see Penny on one of our cartons.
More broadly, reporting into our Commercial Director for EMEA you’ll work closely with a motley crew of teammates across the globe that are celebrated for their individuality in a work culture that encourages you to be optimistic, experimental and daring.

YOUR COMMITMENT
Your main place of work will be out in the field and there will be travel 2 days a week to our office in London E17.
Hours of work will generally be 9.00am – 5:30pm but may vary with workload or by agreement. Flexibility is required due to travel requirements. We expect that you will attend some tradeshows and networking events outside from time to time. Travel will be required to follow up leads and generate sales in accordance with the Minor Figures Travel Policy.
