The West Sales Manager is responsible for driving business growth with grocery and specialty retailers and distributors throughout the western US. The West Sales Manager will work closely with existing retailers to optimize item presence & placement, increase velocities, and sell-in new items, plus secure item placement with new retailers.
You’ll be responsible for growing volume with regional chains and key natural, conventional and independent accounts, by developing and executing sales plans that meet yearly goals and objectives. Within your region you’ll oversee product mix, develop new product launch and promotional plans and execute other sales programs. You’ll develop strong partnerships with brokers, merchandisers and distributor reps to maximize investment and programming dollars, focusing on goals and accountability with partners. You’ll be accountable for building and delivering annual top-line and investment forecasts that deliver growth above and beyond category averages.
Here's how you'll likely go about that:
You will be the primary point of contact for retailers, brokers, merchandisers and distributor reps in your area. You will collaborate and educate to ensure sell through and new distribution
Manage all direct distributors and all the related activities in designated geography
Work in close partnership with the grocery sales team to coordinate demand plans, distribution, and execution with national distributors
Utilize knowledge of your geography, relationships with key contacts, and business insight tools to gain access to potential new customers, present and earn new business
Ensure the development of the business is in line with targeted sales and profitability metrics, utilizing internal tools and communication platforms
Focus on perfect execution of planograms, ensuring all Minor Figures are in-stock and on shelf where approved
Design, pitch, implement and monitor all discount/promotion programs within assigned territory
Utilize internal system, Modus, for item-level forecasting
Tracks budgets allocated for activation by account ensuring maximum visibility and effectiveness
Tracks result and consumption data, and review regularly with channel director
Work in tandem with broker and merchandising teams on new business opportunities and to increase volume and ranking with existing accounts
Attend trade shows, distributor events, and sales meeting
Collaborate with marketing teams, ops teams, and cafe sales team to ensure Minor Figures is being sold and represented in the west as a collective to grow brand awareness and drive velocities

We are a remote team and so you will work from home, with regular travel. As the West Sales Manager, you must reside within a metropolitan market within the Western US, near a major airport. We’re flexible, but mainly all we ask is that you’re able to travel flexibly and carry out the requirements of the role to the best standard.
A work schedule of Monday-Friday from 8:00am- 5:00pm with flexibility for trade shows and other work related travel that may occur on weekends. Also, as part of a global organization, on occasion you may be asked to join calls outside of regular hours.
